Do I need separate bank accounts for my wife and me when applying for a DTV visa in Thailand?
Hi married ones,
I am planning to apply for DTV visa, I have 500k TBH in my savings account. Problem is, I must bring my wife with me. Do we need two separate 500k tbh bank accounts? Or she can apply with mine as a dependent?

Yes, you will need 500k for each person, so you will need 1 million for both of you. First you have to apply alone and after your DTV gets approved your wife can apply separately as a dependent.

If you are applying with Thai embassy in London. Your wife who apply as your dependent must use her own statement. But other countries you may sponsor. Which Thai embassy you applying with?

if your DTV dependents are over 16 years old. They must use their own bank statement if applying from London. If below 16. you can use your statement to sponsor. 500,000THB per person

It seems to depend on where you’re applying from. Some require 500,000 THB per person including each dependent and some say a sponsorship letter for dependents is enough with 500,000 for only the main holder.
