Need advise, My husband and I hold Non-O and Non-B visas in Thailand, respectively, but our baby's Non-O visa isn't ready yet. We are leaving for vacation in a week, and her Australian passport allows her to enter Japan with a visa on arrival.
Can we travel to Japan and then return to Thailand, with her entering on a visa on arrival? She doesn't currently hold any visa, as she was born in Thailand.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The traveler is inquiring whether they can travel to Japan with their baby, who has an Australian passport but no visa, and return to Thailand where the baby also does not have a current visa. Community responses confirm that the baby can enter Japan under a visa exemption for up to 60 days and will not have issues returning to Thailand under the current laws, especially since children under 15 do not incur fines for overstays. Additional recommendations include allowing extra time at the airport and carrying necessary documentation such as birth certificates.

If this is first time your child is departing Thailand allow extra time at airport for departure and bring birth certificate etc. Know a few people with foriegn kids born in Thailand and first departure can be smooth or can be a lot of checking of paperwork.
Thanks for the reply! I’m aware of the requirements for us, but I’m concerned about my baby’s return to Thailand since she doesn’t have a visa yet. I’m worried that immigration might question why we have visas and re-entries but our baby is entering on a "visa on arrival", or a "60-day visa-exempt entry", and it could cause a problem for us.
You'll both need re-entry permits to keep your permission of stay valid. The baby will get a free 60-day visa-exempt entry. Children under 15 do not get fined for overstays should you have any problems in the future.
If the baby has an Australian passport then that doesn't qualify for visa on arrival. That's where you apply for and pay for a 15 day visa at the airport.
The baby would qualify for visa exempt which is a 60 day entry stamp and isn't any visa at all.
