True or Wrong ?

I got information by phone call to Thai Consulate in Dubai that Immigration offices in Thailand have the right to not give you full 30 days extension on tourist visa ( 60 days ) so they can give 30 days or less such as 10 days ? I read in many sites you can take 30 days extension on tourist visa ( 60 days ) with 1900 baht fees for all nationalities !!

“Thanks in advance”

TLDR : Answer Summary
The information from the Thai Consulate in Dubai that immigration offices might grant less than the standard 30-day extension on a tourist visa is considered unusual by community members. While typically a tourist visa can be extended for 30 days at a fee of 1,900 baht, the final decision rests with the immigration officer, who has the discretion to approve or deny the request or possibly grant fewer than 30 days.

right, the officer can approve you application or can deny your application. nothing new.

approved will be 30 days of extra stay, denied will be 7 days to leave the country

that what I know since 2015 but I used Multiple tourist visa always and this time I need 3 months only in Thailand …
Benjamin ******
That's extremely unusual. I don't think the consulate that sells the visas knows what goes on in the country though.
