Can I use the e-gates for exiting Thailand with a non-B visa and re-entry permit?

Sorry if this has already been asked.

I have a UK passport, a non-B visa and a multiple reentry permit.

I left the country recently through BKK airport and noticed I was able to pass through immigration using the new e-gates. I wouldn’t get an exit stamp using these gates. I asked a staff member if that was ok to not get a stamp, as I have a visa and re-entry. She didn’t know so I queued up in the normal queue instead and got stamped out.

Can I use the e-gates next time?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about using the e-gates at Bangkok airport for exiting Thailand with a UK passport, a non-B visa, and a multiple re-entry permit. They experienced uncertainty over not receiving an exit stamp when using the e-gate and later opted for the standard queue to ensure they were stamped out. Comments from other users highlighted a lack of clarity regarding which visa types can utilize e-gates for exit, though one user felt that the original poster had received sufficient information.

I'm not sure what visa types or extensions w/re-entry permits can or can't use the e-gate when you stamp out of thailand.

thanks Tod. Yes, I wasn’t sure whether I’d have issues further down the line with a missing exit stamp so I queued up instead.

Shame, as it would be a great time saver!

For all I know it might be fine. I just don't know enough about it to answer with any degree of certainty AND seeing as the staff that mans those kiosks didn't know either, I'm suspect on who can use it and who can't
