Can I simply do a border run with a Multi-Entry B visa without needing a re-entry permit and Immigration reporting in Thailand?

It's my first time in many years with a Multi-Entry B visa like this. My first 90 days are up this week. I should be able to simply do a border run, cross in and out of the country (Mae Sai), and get stamped in again, correct? No need to go to Immigration in my Chiang Mai, right? And no need for a re-entry permit either, correct? As far as I understand, there is no 90-day reporting for this one, just the exiting and re-entering the country.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about doing a border run with a Multi-Entry B visa, questioning whether they need to report to Immigration in Chiang Mai after their first 90 days, or if a re-entry permit is required. Responses confirmed that they can simply exit the country, get an exit stamp, re-enter through a neighboring country (like Mae Sai), and obtain a new entry stamp without needing to report for the 90 days spent in Thailand. It was also clarified that there is no need for a re-entry permit, but the user must visit Immigration upon return to update their address registration with the new TM6 Departure card within 24 hours.

And before it goes in what is exact 90 days calculated in hours minutes and second, It is time to close it down. The OP does not have to make 90 day reports as he has to leave the country.

Correct, you just leave Thailand, get the exit stamp, stamp in/out neighbor country and walk back to stamp inside Thailand. As you are not 90 days inside the country there is no need to report at Immigration that you've been 90 days inside the country. On return you visit your Immigration Office to update your address registration with the new TM6 Departure card within 24 hours.

Same desk, depends on where you are, but in Chang Mai the office is open 7 days a week and you just show your passport and new TM6 card. Immigration will change the database and give a new date stamp on your Notification of Stay.

Thanks for that last bit of info,

. I so far only know about the TM30. Who do I tell about the TM6 little white paper? Is it the same desk as TM30? In the old days with the easier B visas, I used to just exit and re-enter and there was never TM6 reporting.
