TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is facing an issue renewing their visa as their hotel is refusing to provide a TM30 letter, which is often required for immigration processes. The discussion suggests that the hotel should have registered the OP within 24 hours of their arrival, and there are conflicting opinions on whether hotel receipts can substitute for the required documentation. Many users recommend booking a different hotel and promptly asking for the TM30, emphasizing that they should be able to obtain a copy of this document from any hotel where they legally resided.

sounds more like he's leaving the hotel before going to immigration therefore they don't need to give him a TM30. If he went today, and he was still at the hotel, then they would as the OP has stated.

no not true. My visa expires 1st oct and im paid up until1st oct. and they want me to rebook before i get the tm30 i was planning on going to head up north for a week or two.

@Daniel *****
nothing is stopping you from going before 1 October. Just ask them for a copy of the TM30 as they are required by law to file one within 24 hours of your arrival with them.

they said they wont give to me because im leaving on the 1st oct. And prob. Stay another hotel.

Are they supposed to give me a copy when i first booked here or can they refuse to give me
Darren *******
@Daniel *****
they don't need to give you a copy when you check in but they are required to file one. Sounds more like they haven't filed one if they're behaving like that. Call their bluff and say you're going down to immigration and you'll give their hotel name and number to the office if asked. Might not have any impact but it might scare them into giving you a copy, assuming they've filed one for you that is.

you can renew Wednesday!!

Just book into another hotel for 1 night and ask for your TM30 right away. No hotel receipts will not be enough. Sounds like they didn’t register you, therefore, both you and them will be liable for a fine.

sounds like ?? U don’t know so why talk crap … no one’s getting fined ..

@Damien *******
if he doesn’t have a TM30 receipt in his passport immigration will fine him. Sounds like you are talking crap.
Graham ******
@Damien *******
It's not the fine, it's the non-issue of a 30 day extension is the issue

When are you leaving the hotel?

What immigration office will you be using?
