Hello. I'm staying at the B2 Don Mueang hotel in Bangkok. Just asked if the could print out the tm30 for me and said the can't do them at this location as in they didn't register me. I'm planning on going to immigration tomorrow morning. Wondering what my options are at this point? Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is staying at a hotel in Bangkok and inquired about getting the TM30 form, which the hotel could not provide because they had not registered the user. Comments from the community offer various suggestions, including going to immigration without the TM30, as it may not always be required. Some users shared their experiences and recommendations, indicating that Bangkok immigration is inconsistent with TM30 checks. One user ultimately managed to have their TM30 filed at a new hotel and received an extension successfully.

I'm glad it worked out for you Robbie, and I'm glad you got the extension of stay. I can not see any reason to leave commenting open, so I'm closing comments.

Update!! With the unfortunate purchase of a new hotel, the man I was dealing with understood my situation and personally filed my new tm30 situation at no cost. Successfully got the full 60 days πŸ™Œ I appreciate the help here

Thank you for the very useful information. Iv also warned the front desk about potentially getting a phone call from immigration as they are required to do so. Wish me luck πŸ™

Maybe u book one more night in this hotel.

Go to immigration and tell them u stay

In that hotel. The hotel must report your stay.

Eddie Jarvis I understand. But as a tourist what u can do? U stay in hotels. Immigration want to know were u stay.

So u can say I stay in this hotel now.

What else u can do?

If you are applying in Bangkok, there is a good possibility of you are not asked for TM30 receipt depending on your current type of stay. And you are still in a close area to Immigration offices, maybe you can just try to apply it without TM30 and see what you would get.

If the hotel didn't do the TM30 for whatever reason, then there's nothing you can do πŸ™

Here's what you can expect (Note: I'm assuming you're getting a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism or a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19):

1. Bangkok immigration is hit-or-miss with the TM30 requirements. Sometimes it's asked for, sometimes it isn't. If they don't ask for it, don't tell them you don't have it.

2. You *COULD* be fined 800 THB. If you are, you will be sent to Muang Thong Thani, Counter B, to pay the fine.

3. The immigration office will simply verbally tell you to return with the printout from the TM30.

I recommend showing the hotel what a TM30 looks like; they may not be familiar with the term "TM30". I'm attaching printouts of accepted TM30s. The middle and bottom image are accepted from the computer system.
