Hello, im on ed visa (not fake study, learning thai and already speaking some) and three months left. After that i want to go to few countries (vietnam, laos, philippines etc) and after 3-6 months i would like to come back to Thailand and make my second ed visa, couse i still want to master my thai. Did anyone have done similar thing? Would Thai immigration make some problems, or everything should be fine?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user on an ED visa wishes to travel to several countries after their visa expires and return to Thailand to apply for a second ED visa to continue learning Thai. Comments indicate that while re-entry is generally possible if the user can support themselves financially and find a legitimate school for the application, past ED visa usage may lead to extra scrutiny at immigration. It's advised to consult a reputable agent for visa application support.

how can i found good ed visa

There is no issues re-entering Thailand after you have completed your ED course and expiry of your visa providing you have the money to support yourself and a flight out.

Contact a reputable agent to help you with requirements for your 2nd ED visa before you intend to come back to Thailand, you will struggle to get it yourself

You're very likely going to get pulled aside every time you enter Thailand without a long term visa for the next few years now that you have an ED visa in your passport.

If you are able to get in again in the future, your plan may work if you can find a school that will submit the application to the ministry of education for you.

how do you know this about the ED visa and it being a few years specifically?

because immigration has "initiatives" from time to time where they crackdown on certain things. They've been cracking down on volunteer and education visas for about a year now. So it'll probably be another couple of years until things die down. Until then everyone is guilty until proven innocent.

It always amazes me me how “Mr Joe Public” knows so much about sensitive and confidential immigration action’s or maybe it’s more a case of “My mate in the Bar told me that Immigration are etc etc “

🤣

it's true. Many people who have had Ed visas now are being rejected from elite visa approval, despite being told before it was ok to have an ed visa as long as it's legit.

i heard about it too, thats why i decided to ask here. But to be honest i thought that if my ed visa was not fake and i can prove by speaking thai, if they want to check, then wouldnt be a problem, especially that i dont overstay and go away for few months. Maybe comming back on tourist visa would be easier 🤔

i read in the elite group that many with legit ed visas are being rejected and it just started happening recently. No one seems to know why...

Elite Visa is just a money making machine and the very bad reviews I have read about that company from decent honest citizens, that company Elite Visa should be closed down

Just saying 🤔

where have you read the very bad reviews from? I know a handful of people who have elite and it does exactly what it promises. Yes it's expensive but you pay to be able to stay in Thailand without having to deal with immigration. I don't understand why you think it should be closed down?

Have you used Elite Visa ?

If No then you are judging the company on the same basis as I am - going by what people has commented on the fact that “Once they have your money they do not give the service expected”

I do not condone Visa Agents but they offer the same results for a fraction of the price

Again just saying 🙏

there's been lots of news reports on illegal ED visas, there's also LOTS of posts online of people encountering issues since that crackdown. People know it will cause issues in the future because past crackdowns have and continue to cause issues, volunteer visa for instance.

the crackdowns are well known and have been in the news. They cancelled thousands of ED visas from north Thailand putting people into immediate overstay. Plus lots of recent reports of people getting pulled aside at immigration as well as over the last year for only having an ED in their passport. No hearsay needed.
