Hi,
Short question. Can any immigration transfer the extension of stay to a new passport or only the immigration where I did the extension? I’m talking about 1 year based on retirement.
Tia
TLDR : Answer Summary
The ability to transfer an extension of stay to a new passport generally requires doing so at the immigration office that originally issued the extension. Some responses suggest that any local immigration office might handle it, but confirmation from the office where the extension was issued is recommended.
