Can I transfer my ED visa to a new passport in person or through my wife during her 90-day report?

I’ve just got a new passport and have a letter from the consular asking to put my ED visa (or stamp) across to the new passport. Anyone know if I have to do it in person or can my wife do it when she does her 90 day report? Also, any idea how long it takes to do this -will it take as long as a visa extension etc or be a simpler process?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When transferring your ED visa to a new passport, you need to be in person or have someone authorized (like your wife) do it during their 90-day report. It's recommended to bring a full copy of your old passport, including all stamped pages, along with the new passport. The process can take about an hour, and you may need to fill out specific forms.

It can take an hour. You need a full copy of the old passport, every page with a stamp and face page of your new passport. Also you have to complete and sign every page. And you need to fill out forms as well.
