Hi,

I need help on my case, so I am appreciate every help and advice.

I am a Vietnamese who lives in Finland, I have a Finnish resident permit and a Vietnamese passport.

I will have an internship in Thailand, which lasts for 97 days so I have applied for the Non Immigrant ( ED) type). i applied 3 weeks ago on the eThai website.

I will leave Finland for Thailand this Sunday, on the 26th. And I just received email last Friday from the eThai website that my application is cancelled due to the mismatch in name, between the form and my passport one

I have submitted a new application with a corrected name and attached a speed up letter for it too.

So here come my question.

- is it still posible for me to receive a visa before my flight?

- if not, are there any viable options? I know that Vietnamese can stay 60 day visa free with tourist purpose.

Thank you.

Trung

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Vietnamese resident in Finland, Trung, applied for a Non Immigrant ED visa for his internship in Thailand. He received notice that his application was canceled due to a name mismatch and submitted a new application. With only days until his flight, he is seeking advice on whether he can still obtain the visa in time or what alternative options are available, noting the possibility of a 60-day visa-free stay for Vietnamese tourists.

No way of telling if your visa will come in time or not. You say you are coming for 97 days but an ED visa is only good for 90 days and I don't believe you can extend it based on Internship. Similarly visa exempt is 60 days and can only be extended by 30 days.
