Hi...I could use a piece of advice. I am the holder of a Non Imm OA visa...Expired October 1...But I’m stamped in until September 28 2020

I will be leaving in January...and come back in March. I can go get a Reenter Permit BUT will I have any trouble returning...I don’t have a Thai health insurance... I have a danish travel insurance covering the time I spend in Thailand. I go back to Denmark in May and will properly return in November (on a ImmO visa)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice about returning to Thailand on a Non Imm OA visa after obtaining a re-entry permit. Their visa is expired, but they are stamped in until September 28, 2020. They are concerned about the absence of Thai health insurance and whether they would face issues upon returning in March. Community responses indicate uncertainty regarding health insurance requirements, suggesting users show any valid travel insurance upon re-entry.

Just have a copy of your Danish travel insurance to hand when you return.

I don't remember hearing about anyone using a re-entry permit being asked for insurance but I have heard about a few people with unexpired pre-October 31st visas being asked.

Some of those people asked just showed whatever travel insurance they had and they were stamped in for a year.

Unfortunately no one can say what will or will not be required when you return.

nope, no requirement to show health insurance to buy a re-entry permit

The requirement is to have a health insurance with not less of 40.000 Thb for outpatient treatment and 400.000 Thb for inpatient treatment. So far the reports are for people having the Non Immigrant O-A visa obtained before 31 Oct 2019 and coming into Thailand, they all got their normal 1 year of stay without questions asked. What will wil happen in March 2020 is still 4 months away, keep your eyes on the reports in this page.

that is the billion baht question. IF you get a re-entry permit you will be stamped back in until Sept 2020 when you return BUT no one can tell with 100% certainty whether you'll be asked for proof of insurance or not when you stamp in.

Whether you get a re-entry permit or not is something you're gonna hafta decide on your own,
