I received my medical soft power DTV after four weeks – in Austria. 🥳 Thanks for your help!! Khob khun ka 🙏
So … Next Step! Is it necessary for my family members to apply for it in Austria, or can they do so in a country where it is faster? So that it matches my DTV? I do not have any international documents. In Austria, I am concerned that it may take too long due to public holidays. 🤨

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster received their medical soft power DTV in Austria and inquired if their family members must apply for it in the same country or if they could choose another that offers faster processing. Responses indicated that family members can apply at any Thai Embassy/Consulate that processes DTV applications for their nationality, allowing for flexibility based on processing times. It is, however, usually smoother if applications are made at the same location.
They don’t always have to apply in the exact same country as you - what matters most is that they apply at a Thai Embassy/Consulate that processes DTV for their nationality. Some families do it in different countries if one location is faster, but it’s usually smoother if everyone applies from the same place.
Anonymous participant - Since you are already here, I would only apply in Austria, which is far away, if you were planning to go there anyway. Wouldn’t make the trip just for the visa. If you are just leaving Thailand to apply for the visa, then use one on the embassies in the region.
Did you had any problems with Austria embassy? Looks like it took so long . What about 500k on account? Did you maintain it for some time before applying or you just had it there maybe few days before applying. I’m going to apply there too so I’m curious.
Only upcoming holiday recognized by the Thai embassy in Vienna is on Oct 13, Oct 23 and Oct 27. Given that it is only September 23rd, not sure you have to worry about public holidays.
They can apply as dependant through any country where their visa status allows an applicant. They will reference your DTV number and and provide their own financials or you'll also supply a sponsorship letter.
