What are the best Thai embassies in Asia for processing the DTV Visa efficiently, and do they accept recently transferred bank statements for the financial requirement?

Hello everyone!

I’ve just started the process for the DTV Visa and I’m currently in Thailand. I’m looking for insights about which Thai embassy in Asia you’ve found to be the most efficient and smooth in processing the DTV Visa (Soft Power).

I’m also curious to know if any embassy would accept a bank statement showing funds of 500,000 THB that have been recently transferred, as part of the standard visa requirements.

Thank you for sharing your experiences!

The 500,000 BHT can be new to the account. I had the same experience of waiting for the cash to complete my application. Good luck!

I got approved for soft power (cooking) in HCMC relatively easy as I supplied everything needed upon application. If you search this group, many people have shared their experiences and what documents they provided.

Regards the 500k there is no specific time if needs to be in the bank. Many people have transfered it within days of applications and it was fine. I think people also upload 6months of bank statements with less than 500k to prove they've had the bank account open for a while and not just recently opened for this application

Email them if you have any questions, they're really responsive. They've had a lot of people approved for dtv so they're used to the paperwork needed

I’m not worried about the paperwork and documents needed for the medical treatment, everything will be in order. I’m more concerned about the financial requirement of 500,000 baht, as I can only transfer it to my Thai account a month before my visa application. I’m not sure if any embassy accepts such a short timeframe, as I’ve read that they often require 3 to 6 months of statements.

Anonymous participant Vietnam, Jakarta,Manilla, Yangon , Taipei are ok with a recent deposit of the 500K. Taipei is strict online though with other requirements compared to the others

unfortunately not for manila as they clearly told me that they need a 3months statement with the 500k being on it every month and not only as a final balance 😞. I will probably go for Jakarta 👍

Thanks for your infos 🙏

Anonymous participant Oh. They told me different, last month. I had them lined up as a backup if i failed at Taipei., so corresponded a lot with them. They told me just a final balance is ok with several months' statements. Embassies do change though so it is good you checked. Jakarta is a good embassy to apply from,

Yes, I have been treated at a hospital in Bangkok for two and a half years for a chronic illness, which requires regular check-ups and medication every 3 to 6 months.

Recent comments show Hanoi is quick if everything in order. As for how long the 500k is needed to "Seed" you need to check on the Embassy you are applying to - there is no standard.
