Will there be issues with my return flight being 60 days after arrival if I have a 45-day visa exempt stamp in Thailand?

Edit: thanks all for your help I have my answer.

Hi. We are arriving from Europe on Australia passports so will receive the 45 day visa exempt on arrival. We have exit flights to Aus 60 days later & our plan is to visit immigration & get an extension when in Thailand.

My question is does anyone see a problem with our outgoing flight being later than 45 days from arrival?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user arriving in Thailand with a 45-day visa exemption is concerned about their outbound flight being scheduled 60 days after arrival. Responses indicate that while immigration rarely asks about the date discrepancy, airlines might require proof of onward travel within the 45-day window. It is suggested to book a cheap flight within the visa period and cancel it later to avoid potential boarding issues.

Which airline are you flying with? I flew from Berlin with Qatar earlier this year and they were savage with the outbound flight, and I have a retirement extension with a re-entry permit. I had to wait whilst they confirmed my visa status didn't require onward journey

yes I did see that but it doesn’t actually say must be within the visa waiver time frame. Although I assume it is.

Being Thai Airways they are more likely to adhere to Thai laws. However, only Thai Airways can tell you exactly what their policy is. Give them a call on +6623561111 option 9 for English. They answer pretty quickly

I flew Qatar from LAX, and after about 20 mins of searching, they asked me to sign a waiver 😂

I've been queried by Singapore Airlines in the past coming from Australia, but the Qatar experience was the toughest yet. I think anyone on a visa-free entry doesn't stand a chance!

Immigration almost never asks. But your airline might. The airline is usually the issue if you don't have proof of travel out of Thailand within the days you'll be stamped in for initially. It's possible they won't let you board your flight without proof of onward travel within 45 days of arrival.

airlines is sometimes the problem in this situation . I bought a bus ticket from Bkk to Laos , for 25$ . didn't have to show it , the guy at the next counter was denied boarding , because he was asked for an exit ticket and didn't have any .often depends on the check in clark . and some of them are sometes really stubborn , and fon't give a sh** about your arguments🤔🤔
