Learn Thai with the Rapid Method and be eligible for a DTV?
Canaan Foundation for Education would like to offer the one-year Rapid Learn Thai course as part of their DTV "soft power" program.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs won't say specifically in advance whether it will be approved or not. In fact, they're very vague in general.
So if one person is prepared to take a chance on testing the eligibility then I'm prepared to give away the self-study Rapid Read Thai course (worth ฿12,000) in return.
If your application is successful then there will be a fee for the tutor to guide you through the course and/or follow up with the first-year University of Washington conversational course, Everyday Thai for Beginners.
Any takers?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Canaan Foundation for Education is offering a Rapid Learn Thai course that might allow participants to qualify for a DTV under their 'soft power' program. However, there is uncertainty about the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' approval for this language course; prior comments indicate that such courses typically fall under the Education Visa category instead of the DTV. An individual is willing to provide a free self-study course to anyone interested in trying for DTV eligibility, but it's noted that language courses generally do not qualify for DTVs.
