Does attending a Thai language school qualify for a DTV soft power visa?
For the DTV soft power does attending Thai language school qualify for this? I attended a Thai language school and had an education visa back in 2020, attended about two months then covid hit and the school closed due to restrictions. I would like to re-enroll to study, the course is 9 months, after it’s finished I wish to attend their higher advanced course. Would this qualify for Thai dtv soft power?
Answer summary
The conversation explores whether enrolling in a Thai language school qualifies for the DTV soft power visa. While one commenter suggests the ED visa might be more appropriate, noting that DTV applications for schooling are uncommon, another mentions that some embassies may be accepting Thai language courses for DTV purposes.

It seems that some embassies (in Australia and the UK for sure) are accepting Thai language courses for the soft power category.

I think an ED visa is more suitable in your case. I haven't heard of a successful DTV visa application for school, as it would render the ED visa redundant.
