TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses whether a DTV (Thai long-term visa) can be obtained through a Thai language course. It is clarified that language courses typically qualify for an Education visa (ED visa) instead. Users emphasize that the DTV visa is more suited for activities related to Thai culture under 'soft power', such as Muay Thai training, medical treatment, or cooking classes. Specific language schools in Phuket that can issue letters for DTV applications are not identified, but the community advises that pursuing an ED visa is the appropriate route for learning Thai language.
Thanks. Do you happen to know which dental clinic/hospital would provide the paperwork?

Probably any properly licensed dental clinic. Depends where you want to live. Just choose one with a good reputation. But I actually had begun treatment with a dentist prior to applying for the DTV. Also, I'm not familiar with all the embassies' policies, so I can't guarantee any outcome. But I'd say you'd have to focus on bolstering other parts of your application, like your financials, to feel more confident in your outcome. Some members here say that Jakarta is an easy embassy, but I don't know, as I didn't apply there.
If you interested to lean Thai with DTV it won’t accept , better apply ED visa if you want to lean Thai . For DTV under soft power is more like mauy Thai , medical treatment or cooking class . Im base in Phuket anymore question can ask me .
