I opened few days ago at TTB. That’s the only bank you can open account by yourself without any agent.

You can get cash from an atm without a card or bank account, really I don't understand what u need a bank account for? To do what exactly?
Sam ******
@Chris ********
to not pay 3% fee on every transaction
Chris *********
@Sam *****
use true money 100 free transactions per month
Paul *******
@Chris ********
THAT is of course a DIFFERENT matter. If you have a Kasikorn Bank account then cardless cash works of course.
Chris *********
@Paul ******
nothing different about it you still went to atm and got 10k out without a bank account
Paul *******
@Chris ********
You can't do that! You obviously need a bank account.
Chris *********
@Paul ******
you can buy any condo in thailand with bitcoin without a bank account and you think you can't get 10k without a bank, bro keep up, the world is changing
Paul *******
@Chris ********
You need to transfer funds INTO Thailand to buy a condo here. Bank of Thailand regulation.
Chris *********
@Paul ******
why can't you? I do it all the time
Paul *******
@Chris ********
You're talking nonsense. You DO need a bank account. Otherwise, you simply use your card (from any country). Not rocket science.
Chris *********
@Paul ******
I'm talking nonsense yeah? You're the one who is ill informed
Paul *******
@Chris ********
Enough dude...you're blabbering now

@Chris ********
That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Thai bank ATMs dispense cash not some digital currency! ROFL!!!
Chris *********
@Paul ******
exactly it dispenses cash you obviously can't wrap your head around it
Paul *******
@Chris ********
BUT you have to make a request using your Kasikorn Bank account! If you only hold a foreign account, you have to use the physical card. Period!
Chris *********
@Paul ******
nope, you can use anyone's kasikorn account
Paul *******
@Chris ********
You can't get cash from an ATM without a card If it's not issued by THAT bank. You would need to use your foreign card.
Elías ********
@Paul ******
not always. I can use my Korean bank native app to get cash at any SCB ATM without using any physical card, and without the 220 baht fee (they charge other things, tho). They're partnered. And I'm assume many other banks from many other countries have also similar partnerships.

@Paul ******
go to a kasikorn atm and click cardless cash. Then come back here with egg on your face
Paul *******
@Chris ********
It works if you have a Kasikorn Bank bank account, certainly not a foreign one! Talk about having egg on your face!
David ********
@Chris ********
transfer money and scan and pay easy.
Chris *********
@David *******
you can use scan by going to any kasikorn exchange booth and top up an app that allows u to scan, there are other ways to transfer money without a bank like I said u can go to atm and take out cash if u have bitcoin.

@Chris ********
Have you actually used TagThai? It’s poorly designed, slow, and PromptPay only works 20% of the time.

TrueMoney with a driver’s license works much better.
Chris *********
@David **********
there's a bunch of different apps my point is you don't actually need a thai bank account
David ***********
@Chris ********
There are no good solutions for tourists. We can agree to disagree. You’ll need a driver’s license or special documentation to upload to your app of choice for any meaningful capability. Do you even live here?
Chris *********
@David **********
been here since before you even knew where thailand was on the map! You can sign up to most apps including true money with just your passport dont need any other document youve been given bad info, why is that not a good solution?
David ***********
@Chris ********
A little experience and research indicates otherwise. Please reconsider passing on bad information to the community.

try TTB, But only with TM30 and with contract ready in advanced. If you have valid work permit from previous visa it much better, but try even without.

@Doron *******

It is very difficult to open bank accounts as a foreigner in Thailand these days without certain visas. The DTV is not one of those visas. You have 2 options basically 1) Go branch to branch and eventually if very lucky you may get an account 2) pay a fee to an agent but even that is difficult these days
Anonymous ******************
@Greg *******
can you send me in DM agent from Bangkok please?
Greg ********
Anonymous participant 795 I do not know any doing it at the moment. The ones I knew in Pattaya apparently not doing it for DTV.
