Can I hold both an ED visa for my son and a DTV visa at the same time?
Can we stack ED visa and DTV ? my son is student and I could have an easy 1year parent of student visz, and then be able to open bank account
Answer summary
The original poster inquired about the possibility of holding both an ED visa (for their son) and a DTV visa simultaneously. Responses clarified that individuals are not allowed to hold two valid visas at the same time; however, one can first obtain an ED visa and later switch to a DTV visa once the ED visa expires. Additionally, a guardian visa may be beneficial for opening a bank account.

I came to Bangkok on a guardian visa with my kids on their ED. Once I opened a bank account with kasikorn, I cancelled all of our visas and changed over to the DTV after 2 months. I highly recommend getting the guardian visa first, because the kid's school will give you a letter to help open a bank account

You can't hold two visas at the same time. Your son can be on an ED when you're on a DTV or you can become dependant on his visa.

No. You’ll have to cancel your DTV

Not sure what you mean by stack but a person can only have 1 valid visa at a given time. So you can't have an ed visa and a dtv visa together. But you can have ED first and when that expires you get the DTV.
