Do I need a re-entry permit when using a 60-day METV for multiple entries into Thailand?

When using a 60 day METV, is a re-entry required each time you want to leave Thailand ( within the 60 day period ) in order to return back to Thailand ( during the valid 6 months of the METV)..? If the answer is yes, where do you apply for the re-entry permit, and how soon before the travel departure date can you get the re-entry stamp.?

Thanks..

TLDR : Answer Summary
No, a re-entry permit is not required when using a 60-day METV (Multiple Entry Tourist Visa). You can exit and re-enter Thailand within the 6-month validity of the visa without needing a re-entry stamp. Every time you re-enter Thailand, you will be stamped in for another 60 days.

As Chris Rudd correctly pointed out (y) a 6 month METV <- multi-entry tourist visa is good for unlimited entries for the validity of the visa itself (6 months from the date it's issued)

You could exit/re-enter the country every day if you wanted to and you'd be stamped in for the 60 day entry that visa allows on every entry.

At no point do you need a re-entry permit on an METV. Even if you enter the day before the 'enter before' date , you will be stamped in for 60 days
