METV question please ๐Ÿ˜„

I'm nearing the end of my 6 months METV and will be doing a border bounce the day before the 'exit before' date to get the additional 60 days.

My question is, am I able to get a re entry permit so I can leave the Kingdom during that 60 days without having to get a new visa/visa exempt?

Thanks ๐Ÿ˜„

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is nearing the end of their 6-month Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV) and plans to perform a border bounce to gain an additional 60 days. They inquire about obtaining a re-entry permit that allows leaving the country during this 60-day period without needing a new visa. Respondents advise that it is possible to get a re-entry permit, but upon returning, the user will not receive extra days; they will retain the same stay date from their prior entry. Additionally, they should consider extending their visa to maximize their stay, and one user recounts a challenging re-entry experience despite having proper documentation, highlighting the complexity of Thai immigration procedures.

(almost) refusing is that: You are refused or not?

not but i had to discuss for at least 30 mins and then i could show them an official document (found in my e-mails) which shows that im managing director of a company in HK... this is the proof that i have a business in HK (and just enjoy life in bkk) and that's actually why i'm flyin there on monday..... but even with that she didnt wanna let me in!!! really difficult....

ouch i've just realized that i wrote it on the wrong post... here my short story.... (happened 2 hours ago!)

alright i've just come back. at the immigration BKK (not DMK) on METV, swiss passport and priority lane due to business class and ticket to HKG (business class too) for next monday (plus 25k thb cash which they didnt even check and 2 visa gold and a platinum amex), well, they didnt wanna let me in!!! 30 mins talking with a boss there........ i think it's the first time somebody had troubles with that kind of requisites!!! what do u think tod? now im really worried!!!

in addition: never been blacklisted, never overstayed, never got into any kind of trouble.

reason for (almost) refusing me: u are here too long... fortunately i could prove that i have a business in HK and NOT in bkk otherwise........

so, doesnt matter what kind of visa u have and if maybe u can or not stay, or if u can or not renew/extend.... if they want they just block u without any reason...

don't forget to get the 30 day extension on that last 60 day entry too
@Char*****
, that'll give you 90 days and buy the re-entry permit after that so you would get stamped in for all of them when you return.

I believe you have to wait something like two week until the exit date before applying for extension.

Thanks

- I think I remember reading that CM won't do the 30 days straight off (I.e. If I get my 60 day stamp on a Monday then go to get my 30 day extension on the Tuesday). Am I making this up or is there something in it?!

Yes, but when you return you will get the SAME Admitted to Stay date as you got on the last entry. You do not get any extra days out of it.
