Hello Group:

2 Part Question

I'm using an METV (my first issued) with an exp. Nov 24th, 2019.

So realistically if exiting TH on Nov. 20th and returning on the 23rd of Nov. - I will be stamped in for another 60 day period correct? (thus the visa is expired)

Also with that 60 day stamp taking me to about Jan 23rd of 2020 - will immigration approve a 30 day extension at that point? (have never used an extension as of yet).

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the implications of exiting Thailand on a METV (Multiple Entry Tourist Visa) before its expiration date and whether they can obtain a 60-day entry stamp upon returning, followed by the possibility of extending their stay by 30 days.

Yes, if you enter before the valid until date you get 60 days of stay and this period of stay can be extended with another 30 days.

It is an Extension on your permission of stay, the validity of the visa has nothing to do with that

Is the extension discretionary, considering the visa has been used well past it's 6 month validity ?
