1 more question before I head on the Laos the following Monday.

If I get a Non O dependent visa base on Child from Laos with is 5 months in total. During a month or 2 months later can I go to Penang to get the 1 Year Non O Dependent Visa by on Child? (As I think I will meet the financial requirements for Penang Dependent Visa)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of obtaining a 1-Year Non-O Dependent Visa in Penang after first obtaining a 90-day single entry Non-O visa based on their child in Laos. A comment indicates that it is feasible to get a 90-day visa from Laos and then extend it for an additional 60 days, which could lead to a longer visa.

you could get a 90 day single entry Non-O visa based on being the father of a half thai child in Savannakhet or Vientiane Lao. That visa will stamp you in for 90 days THEN you would go to the immigration office and apply for a 60 day visit thai family extension for 1900baht.

You'll be fine there's no problem getting a 90 day single entry Non-O and then getting a year long, multi-entry one from another consulate when ever you want to go get it.

Because I might meet the financial requirements in 1 or 2 months time. Following Monday will go to Laos to get Non O like you said first. Then within 2 month when I meet the requirements I'll go to Peneng.

these are two separate things entirely. One is the 90 day visa from Savannakhet or Vientiane, when you enter you'll get 90 days.

If you left the country before 90 days to go get the year-long, multi-entry visa your stamp would cancel when you stamp out.

Then you'd get the new visa from Penang. They have nothing to do with one another.

You're talking about getting two separate visas from two different thai consulates..

If you can meet the financial requirements in Penang for the year-long, multi-entry Non-O visa don't even waste the time going to Savannakhet or Vientiane for the 90 day single entry one.

Hi
@Tod ********
, what I meant was after getting Non O based on Child at Vientiane. Which will be for 90 days. Can I go to Penang with this 90 days to get another 1 year Non 0 based of child? Will both visa lapse or?

yep, no problem getting that year-long, multi-entry Non-O in Penang with 400K baht (or the equivalent) in a bank account (doesn't even have to be in a thai bank account) without seasoning.

I will be going to get that this following Monday. But next month or 2 months later can I go to Penang to do the Non O dependent based on Child with the 400K baht in bank(not seasoned).
