I'm getting started as a freelancer and I have about 700,000 Baht in the bank. Do you think if I have a registered business, portfolio, website, but not much freelance income, I would be denied the DTV for the freelance path? Or should I go the soft power route?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice on their eligibility for a Digital Work Visa (DTV) as a freelancer in Thailand, noting they have a substantial amount in the bank but little freelance income. Responses indicate that others in similar situations have been approved, suggesting that presentation and embassy choice are critical factors. However, some comments recommend considering the soft power route, which requires evidence of regular income.

Some have got it as a freelancer with no income, just a portfolio and a plan. There isn't technically any income requirement. Some embassies do want established regular income for a period.

You are fine via the freelance route. Similar applicants to yourself have been approved. Choose a 'friendly' embassy, as mentioned ..add Jakarta to that list.

What is not much? For some it’s $50, for others - $1500

It sounds like that will work but It may depend on how well you present it and also which embassy you choose. Good luck.
