Can I obtain a DTV visa in Thailand as a freelancer with no clients but a web portfolio?

Can a web design freelancer successfully obtain a DTV visa if they have a web portfolio but no clients (as of yet). I'm a web developer who'd like to switch to web design freelancing once I reach Thailand. However, I don't have any clients yet; just my freelancing website and two spec sites I've created (which look quite professional, if I do say so myself). If I apply and include screenshots of my three websites in a PDF when applying for a DTV, what are the chances I'll be approved without a first client? I should add that I can more than meet the financial requirements. Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A freelancer looking to obtain a DTV visa in Thailand with a professional web portfolio but without current clients may have mixed chances of approval. While meeting the financial requirements is crucial, the acceptance may vary depending on the embassy and their specific criteria. Some suggestions include providing a strong portfolio in the application, considering alternative avenues such as developing soft power options, and consulting directly with the embassy regarding their specific requirements.

As long as you can show the financial requirements, there should be no problem.

Of course. They have no idea whether or not you have clients.

Did you already register your company?

You mean, do I have an American corporation of some sort? If so, then yes, I am incorporated.

Why are you not applying as a developer? Do you have a portfolio for that?

Slim chance but will depend on where you apply. You might be better with soft power option

Once again, ask the embassy you are going to apply to.

Some may be fine with just the portfolio, some want contracts with clients.

Yes, book yourself a dental appointment.

Yes, you can be successful with just a portfolio and no clients. Search the threads for posts by similar applicants.

If you more then meet the financial requirements just sign up for something and go soft power, make it easy on yourself.
