How can I convert my Non-B visa extension of stay to a marriage extension in Thailand?

I did it its a normal extension change, it has to happen at the time your non o b is cancelled. Your company need to cancel your workpermit, you will need seasoning funds.

I don't know about the conversion part but I did receive a visit at home and yes they questioned the neighbours

Yes, plenty of people go from "Non–B" Business ( ธุรกิจ ) Reason Clause # 2.1 to Thai Wife ( ภรรยาไทย, คู่สมรสไทย ) Reason Clause # 2.18

it is a part of several long–standing requirements for all Thai Immigration Offices throughout Thailand to make inquiries, interviews, and investigations (Thai Immigration Officers house visits) for any Extension of Stay Application, particularly Thai Spouse Extensions of Stay Applications and that's what Extension Application Under Consideration ( U/C ) time periods and stamps are for before getting the actual Extension ink stamped in your Passport

it can be done as long as you aren't in the initial 90 days on a non b visa, but remember it will still mean cancelling your work permit and not being able to work during the under consideration period before they issue the non o. the financial requrements remain the same but if you already work here you will have the money in a thai bank already so that helps a bit as long as you can still meet the seasoning requirements. Yes they usually interview a neighbour or 2. If you are in a condo this can also be someone from the juristic office / mail room / security staff as they should be able to verify you both live there and are regularly seen coming and going from the property as a couple. the home visit is during the under consideration period yearly with extensions (but often get reduced to every few years if there has been no dramas) and can give very little notice, sometimes even same day. There are always alternatives to this though as they are fully aware that the married couple often both have jobs and it can be difficult to both be home on a work day with little notice. I'm about to go through most of this (except i am leaving the country to apply as I don't have funds in a thai bank account). I got all this information from legal advice and visa experts here in Bangkok.

YES it's normal for the Thai Immigration Officers to make a home visit to verify that you are living together with your Thai spouse. And take photos and chat with neighbors.
