My NON-O (1 year extension) expires 13MAY19. Can I leave during the 30 day consideration period as long as I have a re-entry permit? Immigration don't hold our passports?
Sriracha Immigration currently have my old passport (expires 13MAY19) as they are in the process of transferring the old (current) non-o visa in to my new passport. (will collect in two days)
As I will be applying for my second NON-O with 1 year extension do I still need to bring witnesses?
KOR.2/KOR.3 (marriage certificates) can I use copies or do I have to use originals? I thought I read somewhere that they need to be issued from the Amphur within 6 months of the application. TIA!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the possibility of leaving Thailand during the 30-day consideration period for their NON-O visa extension while holding a re-entry permit. They also asked about the required documentation for applying for a second NON-O visa, specifically regarding the need for witness presence and the acceptance of original versus copied marriage certificates. A response clarified that during the consideration period, immigration does not retain passports, and for the marriage documentation, copies are acceptable for certain forms but originals may still be needed.

Immigration does not hold your passport during the 1 month under consideration period. You get the stamp with the day you have to report. You can use a copy of the original marriage certificate, but the kor ror 2, registration of marriage needs to be the original. It depends on the Immigration Officer how old the Kor Ror 2 can be. Btw you just apply for a new 1 year Extension of Stay based on being married, not for a new Non O with Extension.
Depending on the requirements of your office, most offices only require a witness the first time. Same as house visit, some do every year, others send local police and some only do first time.
Yes, but I found out at our Amphur that a Thai ID card is needed, so only my wife could get it. Not me as my passport number is not recognized by the Amphur computer system.
