So I've got a Thai marriage certificate for my non -o but my Mrs plans on visiting the UK. They require a marriage cert as part of the documentation for her UK visa so we'd need it translated and certified...Do you know if this can be done at Chaeng Wattana or does it have to be certified at the British Embassy?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster has a Thai marriage certificate for a Non-O visa and needs it translated and certified for their spouse's UK visa application. Various community members provided suggestions, indicating that certified translations can be obtained from multiple services, not just at Chaeng Wattana or the British Embassy. They recommended translation services in Thailand, such as lpdvisa.com and shops near the British Embassy in Bangkok.

for translation and they're great! Just email them a photo of the document and they'll give you details to pay by bank transfer. They can EMS you the certified translation or even deliver it to your embassy if need be.
Thanks all, I still need to get my daughter a Thai passport so I'll hand it in to get it translated + certified/notorised/legalised at the Ministry of Foreign affairs the same day.
It's automatically recognised in the UK too, but for a visa you need a copy of the marriage certificate in English to prove it! They don't just take your word for it.
If its for a UK visa you can it translated by any certified translation service. No need to go to Chaeng Wattana. I got my translations done at one of the many places in Ploen Chit.
