Hello. I just got a Covid extension with an 'under consideration' stamp, saying I must be back at Immigration on Sept 30 for the next stamp.
Is it possible to get that stamp before Sept 30? (Now my visa agent says she needs my passport--for a longer term visa--by Sept 27.) Many thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the possibility of obtaining a Covid visa extension stamp before September 30, given that their visa agent needs their passport for a long-term visa by September 27. Responses varied, with some suggesting asking the immigration office directly as experiences can differ by location. While some users reported being able to secure longer extensions without needing to return, others emphasized the differing practices among various immigration offices in Thailand.
Ever since the announcement that Thailand was opening up from 1st October some immigration offices are waiting until nearer that date to decide on Covid extensions. Good news is that I understand a 7 day extension will be given on request free of charge.
That’s weird i went last week and they told me no need to come back… i guess it depends on being lucky or not. I dont understand why they make it so difficult for people sometimes. I remember that immigration lady was also really unfriendly and screaming to a lot to people there, make them look stupid.
I noticed that the reports of getting hassled are being posted ever since the official announcement to "re-open" in Oct. My guess is those of us who went prior to that were lucky, because maybe afterwards BOI was handed down a directive to discourage people from extending.
I would ask at your immigration office. Explain the situation. Some are more flexible than others. I have a friend who always takes a basket of fruit or candy as a gift. Seems to help, especially at smaller immigration offices.
No, not that I've ever heard of anyway. Immigration just wants to make life difficult for people. There is absolutely no practical reasons I can think of that they'd need to see you twice for.
