Hey all, I recieved an under consideration stamp for the extension of stay based on covid and was told to return to immigration on oct 7th, I came today and they gave me another under consideration stamp to come back on Nov 3rd. Is this common? I want to get the extension stamp because I need to leave and go to another province. Any advice to get them to give me the extension stamp to Nov 30?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has received an 'under consideration' stamp for their visa extension due to COVID-19 and was instructed to return on November 3rd after an initial return date of October 7th. They seek advice on the commonality of this situation and how to potentially secure an extension until November 30th. Users in the comments mention the delays are typical due to increased applications and advise the user to return on the specified date.

The whole system has been put under huge pressure by the sheer number of people applying. This means that the processing time has increased. The usual 15 days probably hasn’t been enough time for them to process the application hence the new report back date.

And what was this extension for?

If COVID...then you need to return as instructed.

And how can I change provinces if they won't close the loop for me?

but why? I already returned once. Is this normal that they make me come back to immigration just to get another appointment?

I dont think you understand. I had an under consideration stamp, then instead of giving me the extension stamp, they gave me yet another under consideration stamp.
