TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can get married in Thailand on a 45-day visa exemption if you meet all the marriage requirements and have the necessary documents ready. You are allowed to extend your stay for an additional 30 days, giving you a total of 75 days to complete the marriage process, provided you organize everything within that time frame.

and now that we know it's totally up to the O/P whether they can get their sh*t together fast enough to get married once they show up on a 45 day visa exempt we are done.

This isn't a visa question and the answer is totally up to the O/P's ability to jump thru the hoops required to register a marriage here

If you have all the papers with you it can work in that time

If you are eligible for the Visa Exempt Entry into Thailand...

You will be stamped in for 45 days..

Plus one 30 day extension of stay for 1900 Thai baht at local Thai immigration office. Which is 75 days.

IF you have your Marriage requirements met, you should be able to get

Married within the 45 or 75 days.

What is your passport nation?
