Does my 90-day reporting period restart upon re-entering Thailand after traveling?

90 day extension advice please.

Am I right in assuming that my original 90 day reporting due date, is now irrelevant due to flying out and now that Iโ€™ve returned it restarts from the day I arrive? TIA

(Yes, I had a re-entry permit)

TLDR : Answer Summary
When you leave Thailand and then return, your 90-day reporting period resets from the day of your re-entry. This means that your original 90-day reporting due date becomes irrelevant. If you had a re-entry permit, you can resume counting your 90 days from your arrival date.

Yes that's correct, you are reporting 90 consecutive days in Thailand, if you leave before then the clock resets upon entry.
