Does my 90-day reporting period restart upon re-entering Thailand after traveling?

90 day extension advice please.

Am I right in assuming that my original 90 day reporting due date, is now irrelevant due to flying out and now that Iโ€™ve returned it restarts from the day I arrive? TIA

(Yes, I had a re-entry permit)

TLDR : Answer Summary
When you leave Thailand and return, your 90-day reporting requirement resets to the date of your re-entry, making your original reporting date irrelevant. If you are under a re-entry permit, this applies. Additionally, there will be a need to file a new TM 30 form upon your return.

Yes that's correct, you are reporting 90 consecutive days in Thailand, if you leave before then the clock resets upon entry.
