Can I get an extension of stay for my Non-Immigrant ED visa before leaving Thailand in November?

Hey guys i have a question im on non imm ed on my first extension of stay which will expire mid December. I will leave the country early November and won't come back until spring next year. Uni is all online anyways and I'll be at least able to make some bucks until it will be in class again.

My question is: is there a way that can get a new extension of stay before I leave in November and come back with a reentry stamp on the same extension of stay or will i have to let it expire and get a new visa back home next year? Thanks y'all and have a nice evening

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired whether they could obtain a new extension of stay for their Non-Immigrant ED visa before leaving Thailand, as their current extension expires in mid-December. Responses clarified that a re-entry stamp would not extend their visa, and that they might be able to apply for an extension if they received proper documentation from their university and applied within 30 days of their current visa's expiration.

you need to be talking to the uni you attend. Most of the immigration offices will let you get a new extension when you have 30 days or less left on your current stamp SO if you can get the documentation from your uni and go to the immigration office to apply for a new extension BEFORE you leave there's a good chance they'll issue it. AND

Seeing as real uni students get extensions either by the term (every 6 months) OR by the year if you get an extension and a re-entry permit you'll be good to exit and then come back in on the valid extension

it's gonna be more than 30 days for sure that's why I'm worried. There won't be any problems with the paperwork for sure as my uni has proven to be very reliable on this.

Otherwise you just get a new 90 day Non-ED visa in your country before you come back and start all over with a new extension.

what office do you use? Some offices allow you to apply for a new extension when you have 45 days or less left.

that's what I'm trying to avoid but I'm afraid it's going to be my only option 😕

Reentry stamp just prevents your extension or visa from being canceled when you leave the country, it doesn't extend anything.

Unless you're still enrolled in the program, you're not going to get an extension on an Ed visa being outside the country for 6 months.
