Hello, I have a non-O 3 months visa. Is it possible to extend it for a month like the normal tourist visa for 1900 baht?

I just went to the immigration but closed until Tuesday.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A non-O 3-month visa typically cannot be extended for an additional month like a tourist visa. The ability to extend depends on the specific reason for receiving the non-O visa. Some users noted exceptions, such as applying for a COVID extension, but this must be done before specific deadlines. It's important to check the visa type details and the visa's terms before attempting an extension.

i had a 90 day non-o based on marriage. I got a 60 days extension for 1,900B as I was waiting for my money to be in my thai bank account for at least 2 months.

you didn't get a 60 day extension on your Non-O. You most likely got an unable to travel due to Covid extension

are you sure it's not a 1-year visa? check your dates and report every 90 days if it's a O retirement visa

No. You might be able to get a covid extension if you apply before 24 May but short of extending it for the reason you got the visa you don't have many choices.

No. What’s the reason for the non O? Retirement, marriage, family?

That is possibly the difference. I had mine in the bank all the time I was stranded in Europe since the start of the Covid. Good luck with your efforts.

As far as I know you must show 800 k In bank account and so on to get the 1 year extension.

yes you must. It must be there for 2 months before you apply for the extension. There is no other extension on this visa. Best you can hope for aside from this is to get unable to travel due to Covid but it's up to each individual immigration officer whether you get this or not

Just wondering as I am in the same position. Why would you need an extention. I was under the impression that when the 90 day Non O Visa is up, you will then get your Retirement Ext. for 1 year ?

No if you were married to a Thai, or had Thai kids you could get a family extension. You should be able to apply for a Covid extension up until 24th May.
