hey everyone. so me and my wife Got in a bit of a problem yesterday in Bangkok we were there getting a police certificate for my wife's Us Visa application and we actually lost our passports before we left to go back to chiang mai we grabbed a police report for the lost passports.
we are here on a Non ED and my wife a dependent. our 90 day extension is on march 12th is it possible to get our Visa extension with the police report before we get our new passports?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user and their wife lost their passports in Bangkok while obtaining a police certificate for a US visa application. They are concerned about extending their Non-ED visa before their current extension expires on March 12th, using only a police report for the lost passports. Responses indicate that a passport, or an emergency travel document, is required for a visa extension, and that a replacement passport can take about 14-18 days to obtain from the US consulate.
