Hey Guys. I have a METV -6months. My first two months is up shortly and was planning on doing an extension in samui Immigration for another month. This im sure i can do .... my 1st question is : can "Island travel" do this for me saving me making the trip ?
2nd question: having the METV , which was substantially more than extended visa, do i need to pay the 1900 thb that is normally required?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has a METV valid for 6 months and is considering extending their stay in Samui for an additional month. They inquire if Island Travel can handle the extension and whether they are required to pay the normal extension fee of 1,900 THB. Responses clarify that with a valid METV, the user can stay for 60 days via border bounces without additional immigration fees, although standard fees apply for extensions. The METV allows for multiple entries within the 6 months, making it more advantageous than a typical tourist visa.
Chris, You have a valid METV, you will get 60 days admitted to stay stamp by border bounce every time before your "enter before/valid until" date (METV entry by land would not be counted part of two limitation per year) and no need to pay to immigration (need to pay for travel though... and visa fee to another country based on your nationality and country you are going to enter/exit)
Nobody stay for good unless they apply for Thai Citizenship. We all or leave Thailand for a new Visa or apply at Immigration for the 1 year of Extension of Stay by meeting the requirements.
You can not get 2 motnhs visa with border bounces. You get the 30 day Visa Exempt Entry and you can extend this stay at Immigration with another 30 days for 1.900 Thb. But you can only do this twice a calendar year.
You should be able to get almost 9 months of stay in country (in 60 day increments) out of that visa IF you play the dates right for your border bounces.
