Good day travellers.

My wife and I are on day 24 of a 60 day TR visa. Currently in Krabi and wish to head to Ko Lanta for 2 months if we can extend our visa. Can we go into the Krabi immigration office in the next couple of days and add on another 30 days or will we have to wait untill closer to the expiration of the 60 day visa to possibly get the extension. Our flight home is on the 90th day. I have heard we might be able to get a 60 day extension instead of the 30 day.

You can also apply for the 30-day extension earlier, you don't have to wait until the end of the 60 days. just go to immigration and clarify that on the spot...

You can extend your visa, but most offices will require 30 days or less on your current stamp. You probably won’t be able to get the covid extension (60 days) before getting the regular 30 day extension.

Good advice Stuart. Kind of what we were thinking. Hang out here for 2 more weeks and apply for extension with 3 weeks left on existing visa.
