Im currently in Thailand on a TR visa and planning to go to Immigration for a extension. From what I've read I should be able to get 60 days instead of 30 days.
Has anyone been at Krabi Immigration lately and gotten the 60 days extension instead of the 30? And if so, was there any special paperwork needed?
Thanks in advance๐!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about extending their TR visa at Krabi Immigration, expecting a 60-day extension. They seek confirmation from recent experiences, specifically asking about required paperwork for this extension, given there are reports of some offices issuing extensions without the 30-day limit due to COVID-19 policies.
You shouldn't have a problem getting the 60 day 'covid' extension from a tourist visa entry. Some offices were automatically issuing it and not even giving the 30 day extension that tourist visa/visa exempt entry holders are allowed.
Post in a Krabi/Ao Nang f/b group and ask.
Keep in mind though, there's not really all that many people who just got here on tourist visas or visa exempt entries.

What about bangkok immigration at Chaeng Wattana Government Complex Immigration.. Are they easy going on the 60 day covid extension at this immigration office for TR visa?
If you are on TR status, it's Muang Thong Thani, not ChaengWattana, for Covid-19 extension. I don't know what you mean with "easy going". (Almost) all immigration offices sound like 'not hard' for you to apply Covid-19 extension as long as you have all required documents... at least those offices we can see the reports.
In Bangkok, you may need TM30 receipt and letter from your embassy (or proof of your embassy wouldn't issue the letter) along with your passport, etc. - so-called normal stuff.
