They are planning to extend their visa while in Koh Samui for an additional 30 days and then apply for a 60-day tourist visa in Singapore. They ask if there is a limit to the number of times they can apply for a tourist visa to Thailand and whether their travel plans will face any issues.

You're asking questions no one on the group can answer. Apply online at the thai consulate in Singapore and see what they say.. That's the only way you're going to know.

Each consulate sets their own limits as far as how many tourist visas you can get. I'd say get ONE get stamped in for 60 days, extend that by 30 more THEN worry about getting another one after that

you are not going to live here on back-2-back tourist visas if that's what your asking.

Each consulate has their own limit on how many they will issue before they put a warning stamp in your passport saying you can't use them anymore for tourist visas

you apply online BEFORE you fly to singapore. <- meaning you submit your required documents and they tell you IF you're approved or not

The thai consulate in Singapore has online applications only. Meaning you apply and submit the documentation online and they tell you if you're approved or not and when you can go to the consulate to get the visa. You cannot just walk up to the consulate and apply :/
