Hello.

I arrived from Bali this month and got stamp 45 days (not VOA).

That’s a new thing with Russia, 45 instead of usual 30 days stamp on arrival. And I also have read in some reliable sources that it’s possible to make a 30 days extension (instead of usual 7 days). Is anyone experienced to make this extension in Bangkok?

Also want to ask, should I go to chaengwattana main building or to Laksi branch

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Russian passport holder who recently entered Thailand is inquiring about extending their 45-day stamp. Despite reports of a potential 30-day extension, responses indicate that only a 7-day extension is available for those entering on a visa waiver. It is advised to consult a visa run service for assistance with exiting and re-entering Thailand to obtain a new 45-day stamp. Additionally, the inquiry about where to go for extensions suggests visiting the Chaengwattana main building rather than the Laksi branch.

post on a f/b group related to where you stay in thailand and ask about service providers that take people to the border and back. you will have FAR better luck bouncing out and back with a company that does it day after day than you will doing it on your own trying to save a baht or two.

Good luck with it (y)

People from Hong Kong, Lao, Macau, Mongolia, Russia & Vietnam CANNOT get 30 day extensions on their free entry stamp (visa waiver) only the 7 day get out of thailand stamp.

If you hold a russian passport and you want to stay longer you exit/re-enter the country either by air or land to get a NEW 45 day visa waiver entry.

You entered on Visa waiver, not visa-exempt or Visa on arrival. Visa waiver entry is also changed to 45 days from 30 days currently. Visa waiver entry is NOT eligible for 30 days tourism extension. You need to leave.

I have received a message from a Thai Immigration Volunteer in Phuket

Immigration office...

Russians are getting a 45 days stamp on arrival into Thailand...

But ONLY can get a 7 day extension of stay to leave Thailand.

I have thanked him for the helpful information.

It's been reported that Savannakhet Laos may issue those with a Russian passport a Thai tourist visa. Suggest you contact an experienced Visa run service company in Bangkok or Chiang Mai...

to ask them if they will take you as a Russian passport holder to Savannakhet Laos to get the Thai tourist visa.

Do NOT try to do it yourself. The experienced visa run service company knows what to do and what you need to do too.

On a Russian passport with no tourist visa it is not possible to extend 30 days. Only the “extension denied” stamp and 7 days to leave. If you enter using a tourist visa then you can extend that once for 30 days.
