TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking information on whether non-Thai health insurance can be accepted for extending an STV visa in Bangkok. Comments suggest that Thai health insurance is generally required for the STV visa extension, particularly at the Chaengwattana immigration office.
For STV entry holders, it is difficult to shop around the immigration office since proof of paid/contracted accommodation for the period of your extension and current address TM30 is among the requirements...
Chaengwattana is the only immigration office in Bangkok you can go to apply for your extension. Check with CW for detailed requirements.
thank you very much! I already have all the papers and the rend of my condo, just the insurance is missing and I wanted to know if I can choose the one I want before taking it. I will try to call them tomorrow morning. I already sent a message with the Facebook contact Benjamin gave me but no answer yet.
this is the grab from the Bangkok immigration site. I'm not sure how accurate or current this is, so just as an additional reference. You definitely need to check with CW.
I understand you need Thai health insurance to get the 90 day extension of stay based on STV. Bangkok Immigration does have a Facebook Page, you may be able to ask them at
