Hi, I've been doing covid extensions since October in Phuket, but recently moved to Bangkok. Is the process any different here? I've read we might need extra documentation, like outbound flights booked? The whole thing always took less than an hour in Phuket, does it take much longer in bkk? We live near Asok bts, where's the closest immigration office where we can get the extension? Thanks!
TLDR : Answer Summary
The process for COVID visa extensions in Bangkok is generally similar to that in Phuket, but there are key differences regarding documentation and processing locations. Expats need to be aware that additional documentation may be required, such as proof of outbound flights. The main immigration office for those with a prior tourist or non-immigrant visa is located at the Chaengwattana Government Complex, whereas those who entered on a visa exemption or Visa On Arrival should visit the IT Square Laksi Plaza temporary office. It's recommended to prepare necessary documents and consider booking an online appointment to minimize waiting time.
