Can I apply for a DTV visa from abroad while my name is on a tenancy agreement in Thailand?

Hi, similar to comment below about Non-O and non-B couple but different Q. We've just arrived. My husband (teacher) is getting a non-B I think from our current 90 days O types. I will be dependent spouse as couldn't move with my job, but want to work and thinking of setting myself up for DTV, then leaving country to apply when my current 90 days expires then coming back in if successful on it. We're about to sign a tenancy agreement in both our names. Is this fine or should we put it just in his name? Just wondering if going to be an issue to have a residential agreement with my name on it if I'm applying for DTV from another location...?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, a dependent spouse of a teacher in Thailand, is considering applying for a DTV visa while also wondering if having her name on a joint tenancy agreement with her husband (who is applying for a Non-B visa) will cause any issues during the application process from abroad. Community comments clarify that the name on the lease does not affect the DTV application and explain the visa processes for both the user and her husband.

makes no difference if your name is on a lease or not when you go to apply for a DTV at a thai consulate in another country.

Your husband will get a Non-B visa based on employment, you will get a Non-O visa based on marriage to a foreigner who legally works here

You're correct you can legally work IN thailand for a thai entity (as in hold a work permit)

Should have no issue at all going to a thai consulate in another country and applying for a DTV

"My husband (teacher) is getting a non-B I think from our current 90 days O types.", if your husband entered on a Non-O, he will have to leave the country to apply for a Non-B, the conversion or extension cannot be done in Thailand.

he's getting sorted through work, I may have got some details wrong on his but they know what they're doing. Whatever he gets I know I'll have dependent status and not right to work, so the question is for me, not him, on getting thoughts on a tenancy agreement
