Hi everyone,
I know this has probably been asked in different variations, but I just wanted to clarify my personal situation and get some advice.
I arrived in Thailand on a UK tourist visa for 2 months, which I extended to 3 months. I then did a border run, allowing me an additional 2 months plus another extension. I understand that eyebrows may be raised after around 6 months. I am currently in the process of getting married to my Thai girlfriend, but this will overlap with my current stay, so I'll need to do another border run to give me the breathing space to finalize everything.
I'm aware there is no longer a 2-per-year land border limit, and each entry is the discretion of immigration. Will they feel I am abusing tourist entries if I show evidence of this marriage process im going through, or should I be fine since they can see (if I provide evidence) that I'm only doing this run to arrange the relevant long-term visa?
I will also be using a reputable border run service should that make any difference.
Thanks,
