Hello. I'm currently on a Non-immigrant O Visa. I plan to travel to Bangkok for the month of May. My 90 day reporting is due on May 23. Do I need to file in Bangkok? Can I just file on line as I'm only in Bangkok temporarily? How does this work? My current address is Chiang Mai.

They won't let you file in bangkok with an extension/TM30/previous 90 day report in Chiang Mai. That's not how it works

-you can file a 90 day report in person from 2 weeks before the due date until 7 days after the due date

-you can file a 90 day report online from 2 weeks before down until the actual due date.

You can certainly can file online using your address in Chiang Mai no matter where you are in thailand.

wait until you have exactly 2 weeks (thaiz count that as 15 days but western count it's 2 weeks to the day) or less to apply. I'd say do it around 10 days early,

AND

remember even if it is rejected, you still can do it in person up to a week after the due date so you could do it until the 30th of May without a fine (if you're back up there by then)
