Can I check in early for my 60-day extension on a non-O volunteer visa in Thailand?

Hello all! Quick question. I recently renewed my 90 day non-O volunteer visa in country and was given a 30 day conditional stamp upfront, with the additional 60 once I go back in and check-in. The date for which I'm supposed to go back in to receive the rest of my 60 days is December 21st, however I'm now scheduled to leave the country on the 17th because of some sudden medical complications.

My question is this - would I be able to go and check-in with immigration on the 16th rather than the 21st and receive the rest of my 60 days early before I fly out? How flexible are they with applying early for that?

Thank you for your help! Greatly appreciated!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on whether they can check in early with immigration to obtain the remaining 60 days of a non-O volunteer visa, originally scheduled for December 21st but due to sudden medical reasons, they need to leave on December 17th. Responses indicate that immigration is generally not flexible with early check-ins, and the user is advised to visit their immigration office as soon as possible to see if an exception can be made.

As a rule they are NOT flexible at all with you showing up early :O Normally your paperwork will be waiting on someone's desk for you to come in on the date you're scheduled.

IF you're gonna try to go in early, I'd head out to your immigration office soon and see if they can accommodate you as far as getting the paperwork back in time for you to get the final 60 days extension and then buying the re-entry permit (so your new extension stamp doesn't cancel when you stamp out of the country).

Good Luck (Y)

I depends how busy it is. Some times it take weeks longer to get the remaining Extension stamped in the passport. Most of the times it is the day as mentioned. Only thing is your can try if the documents are approved.
