I just went today to Chaeng watthana to apply for an emergency 60 day extension to my Non-Imm O (volunteer) visa, which expires 04 January. They told me I was too early and I needed to come back the last week of December. Anyone else apply for the extension more than a week before their experation? I was told previously by two different visa officers at that office that I could apply for the extension any time so Iβm a little nervous that when I go to get the extension at the end of December theyβre going to tell me something different again.
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about applying for a 60-day emergency extension on their Non-Immigrant O (volunteer) visa, which is set to expire soon. They were informed at the immigration office that it was too early to apply and were advised to return closer to the expiration date. The discussion also reflected concerns regarding the legitimacy of their volunteer visa and the required documentation, emphasizing the importance of providing appropriate paperwork to avoid complications during the extension process.
