Hello everyone!! Has anyone with a non-O visa married to a foreigner been able to change to a B visa? Without having to leave the country?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the possibility of changing from a Non-O visa (marriage to a foreigner) to a B visa without leaving Thailand. It highlights that if the Non-O visa has work restrictions, such as in the case of spousal visas, it is generally not possible to switch to a B visa without exiting the country. There are clarifications about the specific conditions of the Non-O visa and the limitations that come with it.

Okay, you got some answers from people who didn't read the post correctly. The O/P has a Non-O visa based on marriage to a FOREIGNER who legally works here (they are piggy backing on their spouses long term visa)

That visa type AND that extension type mean you can't work.

The only way you MIGHT be able to pull it off would be IF you were on an extension of stay based on marriage to a foreigner.. .

Ask your immigration office if you could cancel the extension of stay you're on, get an unable to travel due to covid extension THEN apply for an in country Non-B visa using the documentation from your employer..

SOME offices are allowing this. You, AND your employer need to check to see that it can be done before you cancel the extension you're on.

, are you on entry (or first admitted until) stamp from visa itself or are you on extension of stay after?

If it’s a spousal non-O that has a work restriction, it’s impossible (retirement ones cannot be switched either). It’s because the restriction was in place as a condition of your visa.

Otherwise, as stated above, you should be able to get an extension based on work using your Non-O
