Quick question, I currently hold a 1 year Non O visa due to a dependent. I've found a job in Thailand and they will get a work permit for me.

Does this change my non o visa?

Thanks

You are legally allowed to hold a work permit and work on a non-O visa/extension for raising a half thai child.

Do you need a B.A to get a W.P on that visa?

To get a work permit in Thailand, *NO* degree is needed. However, certain jobs may require licenses, and the licensing agency may require a person to hold a degree before the license can be granted for a work permit. Lots of jobs require licenses, and this group doesn't talk about work permits, or licenses.

Talk to your employer about what type of degree/ foreign licenses they need before you apply for the job.

if you are going to be a teacher in a government public, private or international school...

Yes. Ask your school and Education Ministry.

hang about how about we qualify WHAT you got the Non-O extension for. Is it for supporting a thai or foreign child here? (Which is actually called a guardian visa/extension) OR is it for being married to a foreigner who legally works here (which is actually called a dependent visa/extension)?

The visa is the document that allows you to enter Thailand; the extension of stay allows you to stay in Thailand. Do you have a full page sticker in your passport that says "non-O" or a half-page stamp that says extension of stay?

Is this a multiple entry visa, where you're stamped in for 90 days at each entry?

So you now have a one year extension of stay based on raising a half-Thai child? If that's true, then there will be no effect on your existing extension of stay.
